Bio

I am a postdoctoral researcher at University College Dublin. My research focuses on developing practical quantum computing solutions for optimisation and machine learning problems.

I’m keen on reinforcement learning, evolutionary computation, and (metaheuristic) optimisation. I have also worked in other AI domains, including machine learning, deep learning, and natural language processing.

I completed my PhD at the University of Galway, where I explored how prior data and pre-trained weights can improve the performance and efficiency of reinforcement learning-based algorithms for HVAC control; accounting for variations in building characteristics such as location, size, structure, materials, and weather conditions through methods like fine-tuning, padding, and representation learning.

I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering from the University of Mumbai and a Master’s degree in Computer Science (Artificial Intelligence) from the University of Galway.
